The 2008 Omnibus Household Survey consisted of a RDD national sample of 1,000 interviews and a second targeted sample of 500 residents from nine Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSAs) that had light rail or metro systems. The RDD national sample was stratified by division and region. Once the RDD sample was drawn, it was matched with addresses (about 60% of the RDD sample) and a pre-notification letter was sent to all matched addresses. All interviewing was conducted within 30 days and a response rate of over 50% was achieved. The survey was conducted in both English and Spanish. SRG was also responsible for pretesting the questionnaire, development of an extensive Survey Documentation Plan, submitting daily Response Rates Reports, and providing the datasets in multiple formats including SAS, SPSS, and Excel.
